Indian Banks’ Association appointed new Chairman
SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar has been appointed as the new Chairman of Indian Banks’ Association. He has succeeded Sunil Mehta, who is the MD and CEO of Punjab National Bank.
Dinbandhu Mohapatra, MD and CEO of Bank of India will be the Deputy Chairman.
Rakesh Sharma, MD and CEO of IDBI Bank will be the honorary Secretary of IBA for 2019-20.
IBA was formed in 1946 and is currently representing 237 banking firms.
NSG gets the new Director-General
National Security Guard or the NSG gets Anup Kumar Singh as the new Director-General upto the term of 30 September 2019.
The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) which is led by the honorary Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
National Security Guards are also called as ‘Black Cat Commando’.
Anup Kumar Singh will replace previous DG, Sudeep Lakhtakia who retired two months ago.

4th edition of ASEAN-INDIA business summit held in Manila, Philippines. Sri Ramnath Kovind addressed the occasion mentioning about the trade ties.

INTERPOL to hold general assembly in India in 2022
India will host the 91st General Assembly of INTERPOL in 2022. It will be held as a part of celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Indian Independence.
The proposal for the same was submitted to Interpol Secretary Jurgen Stock by Union Minister Amit Shah, during the official visit of Jurgen Stock in Delhi.

Odisha’s Biggest Trade Fair to begin on 12th Nov
Baliyatra, one of the biggest trade fairs in Odisha, is scheduled to begin from 12th Nov 2019. The fair will continue for 8 long days.
This year’s Baliyatra will be organized by Cuttack District Administration, District Cultural Council and Cuttack Municipal Corporation.
