Vacancies in Banks in India: There was a question raised by Shri Rahul Kaswan during parliamentary debate regarding the vacant positions in public sector banks, particularly in Churu district of Rajasthan. According to the minister, PSBs are experiencing a staff shortage that has affected their functioning. Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, told the house members that 95% of the sanctioned staff was filled, whereas 88% of the staff were filled in Churu district. SBI had the highest number of vacant posts of all banks with 6425, according to official statistics. In 12 PSBs, the positions are divided into three categories: officers, clerks, and sub-staff. State Bank of India had the most vacant posts with 6425, followed by Panjab National Bank (PNB) with the second most vacant posts. For different posts in banks, there are 38147 vacancies.
