IBPS PO Mains Revision Strategy 2019 – General Tips 

1. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude

• This section carries a total of 60 marks for 45 questions to be attempted in an hour. Remember that this section can help you immensely in increasing your overall marks in the Mains Exam.
• In these last few days, take up a sectional test every 2-3 days so that you get a grip over the entire section and also can draft a rough strategy to solve the entire section in 1 hour. Analyse the complete sectional test once you are done with the test. Analysing will give you an idea about the questions that you were not able to solve and also their solutions.
• A chunk of the paper would comprise of Puzzles and Arrangement type questions, do practise a few puzzles daily so that you are in a habit of solving them and can do the same in the exam in minimum time. 
• Attempt Topic Tests whenever you feel you are struggling with a topic in the Reasoning section.

2. General / Economy / Banking Awareness

• Revision will be the key here. Read and revise the current affairs for the past six months prior to the exam. This means you will have to cover the GA for the months of November, October, September, August, July and June.
• Take up a lot of GA quizzes. These will help you retain and remember the current affairs.

3. English Language

• Brush up your Grammar Basics. These will help you solve many of the grammar-based questions with high accuracy.

4. Data Analysis & Interpretation

• This section, you need to be very quick in your calculation techniques as well as thorough with the formulae of the various topics in the quants section. 
• Data Interpretation forms a major chunk of this section. Practising a few sets of DI daily will definitely help you in the exam as you will be in a habit of solving them.
• You can always take up Topic Tests and Sectional Tests o improve upon your weak topics. Sectional Tests would help you practice the entire section and would also help you understand as to which questions you are unable to solve or you are taking too much time to solve.

5. Descriptive English

• This section carries a total of 25 marks: 15 Marks for Essay Writing and 10 Marks for Letter Writing, to be completed in 30 minutes. You will have to type the answers to these questions using a keyboard. 
• Therefore, when you practise essay writing or Letter writing, try and type using Microsoft Word, so that you are in a habit of it and feel comfortable while typing in the IBPS PO Mains Exam.
