ICMR Assistant Salary

The candidates appointed as Assistant are paid a salary in Level 6 in the Pay Matrix (Pre-revised Pay Band-2: Rs. 9300-34800/- + Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-). This translates into a minimum of Rs. 35,400 and the highest pay scale is Rs. 1,12,400. This matrix has 40 stages with minimum annual increment of Rs. 1100. The equivalent basic pay details of the 6th Pay Commission is Grade Pay 4200 and PB 9300-34800.

The salary of Central Government employees varies heavily due to the percentage of Dearness Allowance. The current DA is 17% of basic pay given to ICMR assistants.

ICMR Assistant In-hand Salary

Given the following break-downs, we’ll calculate the in-hand salary of ICMR Assistants.

• Level and Grade Pay: Level 6 (Grade Pay 4200)
• Location: Delhi
• Basic Pay: Rs. 35,400
• Dearness Allowance: Rs. 6,018 (17% of Basic Pay)

• Deduction for NPS: Rs. 4,142
• In-Hand Salary: Rs. 49,984

The only deduction from the ICMR Assistant salary is NPS (National Pension System): Rs. 4142 (10% of basic pay + DA). Net take home salary of an ICMR assistant is Rs. 49,984

This take home hand salary is based on Delhi (Metro A1 Class City).
