World Bank has announced to sanction 3,000 crore for Food parks:
World bank has announced that it will finance our Mini and Mega Food parks with a humongous amount of 3,000 crores. The primary focus of the World Bank will be on the North Eastern States.
This project is being executed under the supervision of Rameshwar Teli. He is currently the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries. He is also a member of parliament from Dibrugarh constituency of Assam.
Current CEO of World bank is Kristalina Georgieva. She will soon replace Christine Lagarde as IMF chief.
Christine Lagarde will lead Europen Central Bank thereafter.
Children’s Week to be observed across Uttar Pradesh State:
In lieu of the Nutrition month campaign, the Anganwadi centers of Uttar Pradesh will be observing Children’s Week starting 16 September 2019.
This scheme is a part of Poshan Abhiyaan which has a mission to address malnutrition in children, adolescent girls, and pregnant ladies.
First day of this week-long event was observed as Mamta Divas. On this day mothers brought homemade food for underprivileged people to the Anganwadi centers.
The second day of the week i:e 17 Sep 2019 will be observed as Suposhan Goonj. This day will include march past and taking a pledge to provide food to the ones in need.
Exercise TSENTR 2019 began in Russia:
TSENTR is an annual group military exercise conducted in Russia in the highlight of Russian Forces. Its main agenda is to train for countering the threat of International Terrorism.
This is a week-long activity planned from 16 Sep to 21 Sep 2019. It will be held at training grounds in the Orenburg region, Dagestan, Astrakhan region, Chelyabinsk region, the Altai Territory and the Kemerovo region
Participating Countries in this practice are Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.
TSENTR 2019 will include approximately 1,28,000 military personnel, 20,000 pieces of weapons, 600 aircraft and Helicopters and 15 warships.
Bangladesh Naval Ship (BNS) Somudra Avijan arrived at Vishakhapatnam:
BNS Somudra Avijan arrived at Vishakhapatnam in our Eastern Naval Command (ENC) for a 4-day visit. It was welcomed with complete honors by our Indian Navy.
As a further to ships visit there are a series of activities planned between the two Naval Forces. These activities consist of professional interactions, cross visits, sporting events, and social interactions.
This visit will strengthen the Armed ties between the two countries.
Commander M Zahirul Haque is in command of BNS Somudra Avijan. Vice Admiral SN Ghormade is the representative for Eastern Naval Command (ENC).
Spice 2000 Bombs were welcomed by Indian Air Force:
Indian Air Force received its First batch of Spice 2000 bombs from an Israeli Firm. It is loaded with mark 84 warheads.
First batch of the supply arrived in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh state, which is also the main base for the Mirage 2000 fighter planes.
India signed a 250 cr INR deal with Israel for 84 warheads and bombs. India signed a deal to acquire at least 100 spice 2000 bombs from Israel. Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft are used to deploy these bombs.
Spice 2000 are the similar bombs that were used in Balakot airstrike.
