Uber unveils design for new Delivery drone
Uber has revealed the new design for its food delivery drone, that it expects to launch in the market before 2020.
The drone is designed for vertical take-off and landing. It has 6 rotors with rotating wings and will be able to travel a maximum time of 8 minutes. which will include loading and unloading.
The total flight range will be about 29 km with the round trip delivery range of 19 km.
29th BASIC Ministerial Meet Concluded
The Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, meeting the BASIC countries on climate change.
The meeting was held in Beijing city of China. It was held on 25-26th October 2019.
The meeting was presided by H.E. Mr. Li Ganjie, Minister of Ecology and Environment for China and Mr. Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Information and Broadcasting of the Republic of India.
Major issues affecting the climate change were addressed and measures to curb the factors leading to pollution and eventually climate change were decided.
Ladakh Literature Festival Organised
The administration in Ladakh is organizing the first-ever Ladakh Literature Festival. It is being organized from 29-October to 31st October 2019.
Venues will include places like historic Leh palace and Central Asian Museum. From this year, this festival will be celebrated annually.
Ladakh Literature Festival aims to celebrate the uniqueness of the region in the fields of the Art, Culture,
and Literature.
Films in Ladakhi language will also be featured at the occasion.

Belgian Budget Minister, Sophie Wilmes has been chosen as the country’s new caretaker Prime Minister. She will be the first woman to hold this post in Belgium.
Sophie Wilmes will be sworn in by King Philippe. Current PM for Belgium will take over as European Council President on December 1.
