Indian Air Force celebrates 87th anniversary
Indian Air Force has completed 87 years of its inception on 8 October 2019. A grand function was held at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad to celebrate the event.
Major highlights for the events were new entrants ‘Chinook’ a twin-rotor blade helicopter and the new ‘Apache’ helicopters.
Wing Commander Abhinandan enthralled the audience, flying a Mig 21 Bison aircraft on the special occasion.
The event was graced by the presence of chief of all the three forces of our country. Army Chief General Bipin Rawat and IAF Chief, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria along with the Admiral Karambir Singh, chief of Naval Force. They also visited the memorials to pay tribute to the martyrs.
14th Edition of ‘Nomadic Elephant’ commences
Nomadic Elephant is the Joint Military Training Exercise that is held between India and Mongolia. It is being carried out in Bakloh, in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
The Mongolian Army is being represented by officers and troops of Elite 084 Airborne special task battalion, while the Indian Army is being represented by the famous Rajputana Rifles.

UCO Bank announces 3 new digital Products
UCO Bank launched 3 new products recently after becoming the regional bank of the east namely: UCash, Digilocker and an app.
Ucash enables customers to withdraw cash from ATM’s through mobile banking without using debit card.
Digilocker aims to eliminate the use of physical documents and enables sharing of physical documents.
The new mobile app integrates 4 existing apps of the bank.

Foundation stone laid in Amritsar for IIM Campus
Foundation is being laid in Manawala town of Amritsar District for opening up the prestigious Indian Institue of Management campus in Amritsar.
The stone was laid by Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
An initial fund of 350 crore INR has been sanctioned for the beginning of the construction. An additional fund of 250 crore INR will be issued at the later stage.
Expected deadline to finish the construction is 2021.
Nobel Prize in Medicine 2019 Announced
