Who is eligible for the PM Internship Scheme?
The scheme is open to Indian youth who meet the following criteria:
- Indian nationality.
- Age between 21 to 24 years.
- Not full-time employed or studying, though online/distance learners can apply.
- Educational qualifications: High School, Higher Secondary, ITI certificate, Polytechnic diploma, or graduate degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.).
- Family income should not exceed ₹8 lakh per year.
Who cannot apply for the internship?
The following candidates are not eligible to take the benefits under this scheme:
- Graduates from IITs, IIMs, NLU, IISER, NIDs, IIITs.
- Holders of CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or any higher degree.
- Candidates currently in Government skill, apprenticeship, internship, or student training programs.
- Those who have completed NATS or NAPS programs.
- Families with income above ₹8 lakh or having permanent government employees.

Government Employee: Regular/permanent employee (contractual employees excluded).
