Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) is the public service commission of Karnataka. It conducts state level civil services examinations for various posts in Karnataka. Selection Process For KPSC KAS Exam 2022
All the candidates have to pass through the three-stage evaluation process to be eligible. The three stages are as follows:
- KPSC Preliminary exam
- KPSC Mains exam
- Personality Test/ Interview
KPSC Prelims exam- This exam has two papers that are objective types. They carry 200 marks each and are for two hours, and there is also a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong question. Once they have cleared this exam, they get qualified for the KPSC Mains exam.
KPSC Mains exam- The KPSC KAS Main exam is descriptive-type. There are nine papers, of which two are qualifying papers, five are general, and two are optional papers. Each exam is for three hours.
