The CBSE is conducting CTET Paper 1 & 2 across India today for the recruitment of teachers in various private and government schools. The exam is going to be conducted in two-phase Paper 1 & Paper 2. Paper 1 for candidates aspiring to teach class I-V and Paper 2 for candidates aiming to teach Classes VI-VIII. Candidates who wish to teach both Primary and Upper Primary, i:e (Classes I-VIII). All the sections are compulsory and candidates get 150 minutes to solve 150 questions. Interesting thing is that there is no negative marking in the CTET exam. Candidates need to score 60% of the total marks to clear the CTET exam.

The child development and pedagogy section were a bit easy compared to the last year’s CTET exam.10+ questions were asked from the learning theories topic. Child development is considered the most scoring subject of this exam because the maximum no of questions was easy in both the Paper.

The English language was almost the same as the previous year’s exam. Most of the questions were asked from basic grammar and vocabulary topics. There were no questions from the Language pedagogy section.

FAQs
The CTET question paper is set by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)
Yes. Paper I is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. In case candidates wish to qualify to teach classes 1 – 8, they can appear for both papers in CTET.
All questions in the CTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
The validity of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate has now been extended for lifetime by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CBSE in its notification on Wednesday informed that the TET certificate is now valid for a lifetime which was seven years earlier
