- Telephonic Interviews: These types of interviews are conducted over a phone call, they are generally 10-15 minutes. In this, only audio is the medium of communication, your knowledge and communication skills play a very crucial role in telephonic interviews. This is conducted in the starting round to understand the basic details of the candidates.
- Individual Interview: This interview can be virtual or face-to-face. Individual interviews only have one interviewer and they can be more detailed than other interviews. In this, body language, personality, presence of mind, behavior, and qualifications of the candidate is also evaluated.
- Group Interview: This interview can also be conducted virtually or personally. Group interviews have a panel of interviewers, usually, there are 4-5 interviewers. These types of interviews can be long and often make people nervous and anxious.

Be Punctual
The worst mistake you can make in an interview is not attending the interview. Many people are habitual latecomers but this habit can create a lot of trouble especially when you have an interview. Candidates should reach the office or interview venue 20 to 30 minutes before. So, they can calm themselves and don’t look drained during the interview. If you are not aware of the interview location, make sure to check the place a day before. So, you don’t get late on your big day.
Research about the Company
Make sure that you have detailed knowledge about the company or any organization you are giving an interview for. Learning about the company will help you prepare to represent your skills and qualifications as per the requirement of an organization.
Dress professionally
Many candidates ignore this basic point and overdress, casually dress, or do over accessories in an interview. But the interview is a very professional thing to attend and you should keep your style simple and elegant. Clothes should be ironed and properly cleaned. Try not to go with messy hair, dress well, and smell good, but don’t use a heavy deodorant that can cause dizziness to the interviewers.
Make Eye contact
Making eye contact is the most basic thing about any kind of communication. Because of anxiety and nervousness, we often try to avoid eye contact but this can really create a bad first impression. Candidates should make firm eye contact with the interviewer which makes them look confident. While talking don’t look at walls or any furniture this will make you look awkward or immature to the interviewer.
