Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must be a graduate (min 3 years course) of a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Essential: Proficiency in the Telugu Language (The candidate must have studied Telugu as one of the subjects up to 10th Class and must possess the supporting documents to be verified at the time of appointment).
  • The candidate must have a working knowledge of the English language.

Age Limit

The candidate must be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 30 years of age. 

Age Relaxation 

The upper age limit for the reserved category is relaxed in accordance with Telangana government regulations, which are as follows:

  • Up to a maximum of five years if the candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories
  • Up to a maximum of three years if the candidate belongs to Backward Classes (BC) 
  • Up to a maximum of 10 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to the General category 
  • Up to a maximum of 13 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to the BC category 
  • Up to a maximum of 15 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to SC or ST category
  • The age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen is the actual period of defense service rendered 3 years (or 8 years for disabled ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to the maximum age of 50 years 
  • The maximum age limit is 35 years for the General category, 38 years for BCs, and 40 years for SC/ST category if the candidate is a widow, divorced woman, or a woman judicially separated from her husband and did not remarry

Each test in the prelims and major exams is timed separately. Candidates may only attempt questions in a specific test during the time allotted. Each question will have multiple-choice answers with five possible answers, out of which only one will be correct. Incorrect responses will result in a penalty of 1/4th of the marks assigned to the question.

The authorities will prepare the result using the following method: 

  • They will calculate the Corrected Score based on the number of correct answers on each objective test after deducting marks of wrong answers. 
  • The Corrected Scores earned by a candidate are adjusted to account for any minor differences in the difficulty level of the objective tests administered in different sessions to arrive at the Equated Scores.
  • Individual test results and overall scores will be rounded off to two digits of precision.

Documents Verification

Selected candidates will be required to produce their documents for verification. They must show all their certificates proving their eligibility and category (if any), including original certificates of educational qualifications, EWS certificates, caste certificates, and certifications for physically challenged people, etc.

At the time of appointment, physically challenged candidates need to appear before their respective District Medical Boards for a medical examination proving their disability. They will get the appointment orders only after receipt of their medical reports confirming their disability at the prescribed levels.
