When a candidate checks for the result, the name and the candidate’s roll number must match what was allocated to him or her before the exam. This is essential because several persons can have the same name. It is the roll number that will ensure that the candidate is looking at their own result. What to do After UP SI Result is Declared

A short time after the exam for UP SI has been completed, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will declare the result on its official website announcing the tentative list of shortlisted candidates.  After declaring the result, the authority conducting the examination will call the candidates who have been shortlisted to undergo the Medical Examination, which is the next stage in the recruitment process for the post of UP SI. If a candidate qualifies in the Medical Examination, the candidate will move on to the next stage in the recruitment process.  Not more than 50 candidates will undergo the Medical Examination process in one day. 

The result of the Medical Examination process will be declared at the end of each day for the candidates examined that day.  The result will be displayed on a notice board at the end of the day. The same holds true for the Physical Efficiency Test.

When the short-listed candidates are called for the Medical Examination, they must do the following. 

• Show the documents that prove and verify that they are eligible
• Clear a physical efficiency test as the specified place and time to move on to the Medical Examination
• Those candidates who will clear the physical fitness test will be shortlisted for the medical examination. 
• A final merit list will be prepared based on the candidates clearing all stages in the process of recruitment.
• The names of the selected candidates will be declared via a merit list posted on the Board’s official website.

UP SI Merit List Preparation Process

For the UP SI recruitment, the final merit list is prepared based on the marks that a candidate scores on the written examination for the different categories based on the state government’s policy. The concerned department uses this merit list for medical examination and verification of the candidates’ documents. The board does not prepare any waiting list. If two or more candidates have scored the same number of marks, other qualifications will be used to decide who will be selected in the preference list. 

• In case 2 or more candidates have obtained an equal number of marks. The candidate who comes with more qualifications will be given preference based on the qualification preference order. In the case of a candidate with more than one qualification preference, just one of the preferences will be considered.
• If 2 or more two candidates obtain the same number of marks, and their qualification preference is also the same, then age will become the deciding factor, and the candidate with higher age will be given preference. 
• If the candidates have the same number of marks, the same qualification preference, and are of the same age, then the basis of preference will be the alphabetical order of their names specified in the candidates’ high school certificate.
