The 5 things you should know about the SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 mentioned in the SBI Clerk 2019 Notification are as follows -:

1) SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 – Reservations for EWS category

Similar to the SBI PO, the SBI Junior Associates recruitment notification has also given separate vacancies for the EWS category. The vacancies reserved for EWS are 10% of the Total vacancies. The following gives the Category-wise details about the SBI Clerk 2019 Vacancy for each state and circle.

2) SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 – Special Recruitment Drive for Kashmir

The SBI Clerk Notification has given separate Junior Assistant vacancies for Kashmir valley and Leh & Kargil Valley. A total of 60 vacancies are available for this region. Following table gives the category-wise details of the SBI Clerk vacancies for Kashmir.

3) SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 – Horizontal vacancies for PWD & Ex-Servicemen categories

The SBI Junior Assosicates notification has mentioned that the vacancies reserved for PWD and EX servicemen would be horizontal in nature. Which means the the numbers mentioned for each of these categories are already included in SBI clerk vacancy 2019 allocated to parent categories. 4) SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 – Backlog vacancies

First Let us understand What are SBI Clerk Backlog vacancies?

The Backlog Vacancies are the vacancies which were announced in the previous year’s recruitment notification, but were not filled at the end of the recruitment process. Hence these vacancies are mentioned separately in the current notification. This is a common practice for recruimnet of various banking posts in SBI and other banks.

A Total 251 Backlog vacancies for SBI Junior associates have been declared in the SBI 2019 Clerk Notification. It includes 79 vacancies for PWD categories and 103 vacancies for Ex-servicemen categories. Following are the details.

5) SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 – Candidates can apply from 1 State only

SBI has released state-wise vacancies for SBI Clerk 2019. They have clearly mentioned (on the first page itself) that A candidate can apply for the SBI Clerk Vacancy 2019 from only 1 State. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State. The local language for each state has been mentioned in the above given tables.

SBI Clerk 2019 Exam Pattern

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Phase – II: Main Examination:

The structure of main examination (online objective type) would be as follows.:

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Test of specified opted local language:

Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others (qualified for selection), specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
