APPSC Group 2 Exam Important Dates

The important dates that have been announced for the APPSC Group 2 Exam have been given below:

APPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern

The APPSC Group 2 Selection Process has been divided into the following stages:

1. Preliminary Exam

2. Main Exam

3. Interview

In order to appear for the main exam of APPSC Group 2, the candidate must first pass the preliminary Exam. All the exams will comprise multiple-choice questions and will be conducted in offline mode.

Screening Test/ Preliminary Exam:

The Screening Test will have questions based on the following topics:

1. General Studies and Mental Ability

2. Cultural and Social History of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Constitution

3. Planning and Economy

The Paper will have a time duration of 150 minutes and will consist of 150 objective questions. Each question will carry 1 mark, thus the paper will be of a total of 150 marks. There will also be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer.

Main Exam:

The Main Exam comprises three papers:

Paper 1– General Studies and Mental Ability

Paper 2– a) Social History  i.e. the history of various social and cultural movements in Andhra Pradesh

 b) Basic Overview of the Indian Constitution.

Paper 3– Planning in India and Indian Economy, Contemporary Problems and Developments in Rural Society with special reference to Andhra Pradesh

The Paper will have a duration of 150 minutes for each exam. Each exam is of 150 marks. So, the Main Exam is of a total of 450 marks. There will also be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer in all three papers.

After clearing the Prelims and Main Exams, the candidates will have to go through further selection processes to get selected for the post. This selection process will consist of Computer Proficiency Test, Document Verification, and Physical Standard Test.

This Exam will have a duration of 30 minutes. The exam will be of a total of 50 marks.
