United Nations Decision and the First Report
On June 14, 2016, the United Nations said that June 29 would be the International Day of the Tropics. They picked this date to remember the first ‘State of the Tropics Report,’ started by Myanmar’s Nobel Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi, in 2014.
