Process to Apply for this Scheme

Visit the Official Website:
- Go to the official website of the scheme: PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Register:
- On the homepage, select “Apply for rooftop solar.”
- Click on “Register Here.”
- Fill in the registration form with the following details:
  - Select your State.
  - Select your Electricity Distribution Company.
  - Enter your Electricity Consumer Number.
  - Enter your Mobile Number.
  - Enter your Email ID.
Login:
- After registration, log in using your Consumer Number and Mobile Number.
Apply for Rooftop Solar:
- Once logged in, apply for the rooftop solar installation by filling out the online application form.
Feasibility Approval:
- Wait for the feasibility approval from your Electricity Distribution Company (DISCOM).
- Once you receive the feasibility approval, proceed to the next step.
Installation:
- Install the solar plant using any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM.
Net Meter Installation:
- After installation, apply for a net meter.
- Once the net meter is installed and inspected by DISCOM, they will generate a commissioning certificate from the portal.
Bank Account Details Submission:
- Submit your bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal.
- You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
