Punjab Police Constable Exam Pattern

The Punjab Police Constable Exam has two sections, the first of which is a written exam with objective questions. The Document Scrutiny comes next, followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and the Physical Screening Test(PST). The question paper will contain 100 questions, each worth one mark, and the written test will last two hours.

  • Document Scrutiny

After clearing the Objective questions round, candidates will be called for Stage 2 of the selection process. This is essentially a round of document verification. You must carry original documents with you on the interview day, as they will match your original documents with the documents uploaded on the application form.

  • Physical Measurement Test

Candidates who meet or exceed the minimum height requirement are eligible to participate in the Physical Screening Test.

  • Physical Screening Test

The purpose of the Physical Screening Test (PST) is to ensure that a candidate is fit and healthy for the constable position.  It comprises the long run, High Jump, Long Jump, and so on.

  • Each candidate will be given an Admit Card that details the date, time, and location of their OMR-based Written test.

Physical Measurement Test

Based on merit established by the marks achieved in the OMR Based Written Test after normalization and after taking into account reservations for various categories, a minimum number of candidates will be shortlisted and called for Stage 2. Male candidates must be 5 feet 7 inches tall, and female candidates must be 5 feet 2 inches tall to be eligible for the post of a police constable in the Armed Police Cadre & District Police Cadre.

Physical Screening Test

The Physical Screening Test (PST) will be certified in nature and will include the following activities:
