- Candidates who have been assigned as RBI Assistants will have multiple opportunities to advance to higher levels.
- To be promoted to the officer level, one must serve for a minimum of two years and complete a two-year bond period.
- Following that, they must apply for and appear in the promotion test.
There are two ways for an RBI assistant to advance to the rank of Grade A officer.
- Normal procedure: In this procedure, candidates must pass a written test and then be selected as an officer based on their experience or seniority in the bank.
- Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience as an RBI Assistant with a JAIIB or CAIIB diploma from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and a graduation degree.
