The RBI Grade B Selection is done in several phases. Phase 1 is a preliminary examination. Candidates who clear Phase 1 are called to appear for Phase 2 which is the mains examination. Candidates who clear both the written examinations are further called for the Personality Test round or Interview.   • Phase 1 (Preliminary Exam): Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B Exam consists of 4 subjects. These are Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English. A total of 200 questions are asked for 200 marks. The total duration of the exam is 120 minutes. Also, note that there is sectional timing. As far as the marking scheme is concerned, 1/4 of the assigned questions will be deducted as negative marking.
  • Phase 2 (Mains Exam): Phase 2 is further divided into three papers. Paper 1 & Paper 3 are a mix of objective and descriptive papers whereas Paper 2 will be completely descriptive. This stage will be taken into consideration while creating the final result.
  • Phase 3 (Interview): This is the final stage of the RBI Grade B Selection Process. The interview stage consists of 75 marks. For this stage, the marks of all three papers of Phase 2 will be taken into consideration.
