The candidates will have to satisfy the RBI Grade B Eligibility based on various parameters as mentioned in RBI Grade B Notification. Graduation in any discipline /equivalent technical or professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation / equivalent technical qualification with a minimum of 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years is the eligibility for RBI Grade B DR (General).

The RBI Grade B Educational Qualification for DEPR is a Master’s degree in Economics/ Finance or any equivalent stream. The minimum requirement of marks for candidates with a master’s degree is 55%.

The RBI Grade B Educational Qualification for DSIM is a Master’s degree in Mathematics/ Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning/ Big Data Analytics/ Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics/ Applied Statistics & Informatics. Apart from these, the candidate can also have 2 year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) or 4 years bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
RBI Grade B Eligibility – CGPA to Percentage Conversion
Some institutes/ universities grant CGPAs, so for those who define the criteria for conversion of CGPA to percentage, the same will be accepted. Those who have not defined the criteria can follow the below-mentioned criteria:

To fulfill the nationality needs, candidates must be either of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

The maximum RBI Grade B attempts is six for candidates belonging to the General category. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, there is no limit on the RBI Grade B attempts.
