Sikkim PSC Eligibility Criteria

The factors set for the eligibility requirement for Sikkim PSC exam, involves various criteria such as Age Limit, Age Relaxation, Educational Qualification, Nationality/Citizenship, Number of Attempts for exam, Physical Standards and any Experience needed. Sikkim PSC Eligibility: Age Limit

The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not cross the age of 35 years as on 1st January 2024. For different posts, upper age limit required are different. post-wise upper age limit is given below:

Age Relaxation

For reserved category, age relaxation is allowed to the candidates who seeks the relaxation. Category wise age relaxation is outlined below:

• Candidates from the other backward categories (OBC) will be granted a 3 years age relaxation.
• Candidates from the SC and ST categories will be given 5 year age relaxation.

Nationality

In order to be eligible for the Sikkim PSC, the candidates should be a citizen of India.

Educational Qualification

The exam recruiting commission has demanded the minimum educational qualification for some posts. According to the posts the basic educational qualification should be Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree from any recognized university. Post-wise Educational qualification requirement are given below:

Deputy Superintendent of Police	Graduate Degree in any field from any recognized University.
Accounts Officer	Graduate Degree in any field from any recognized University. Should have undergone a Computer Course of a minimum 3 (three) months duration from a recognized institute.

• Candidates should have knowledge of any of the State Languages.
• Candidates must be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim.

SPSC 2024: Physical Standards Requirement

Candidates who are willing to apply for the post of Sikkim SPSC, they have to fulfill the requirements to apply for the exam. For some posts under SPSC Sikkim, Physical Measurements Standards and Physical Endurance Standards are set for male and female candidates.

Physical Endurance Test

The physical endurance test standard are outlined below:

Number of Attempts

The Sikkim PSC exam conducting commission has set limit on the number of attempts for taking the exam. The limit is category wise. The details of the number of attempts for exam are presented below:

• General categories – Maximum 4 attempts
• OBC candidates – Maximum 7 attempts
• SC/ST candidates – No limit

Sikkim PSC – Experience Required

It is not mandatory of having any prior experience for applying to the SPSC Sikkim. Candidates having with or without any experience, can apply for the exam.
