Q1. Please introduce yourself and tell us about your journey.
Ans: Myself Debdas Maity from Midnapore, West Bengal. I completed my graduation in Agriculture from Kanpur University in 2023. Since then, I have been preparing for banking examinations, and today I am selected as IBPS RRB PO.
Q2. How did you start your preparation?
Ans: Basically, I started my preparation for IBPS SO only. In that starting phase, one of my closest ones taught me the basics of QRE. Then year after year, I practiced Quant and Reasoning with the help of Sanjay Sir and Oliveboard course. In 2025, I cleared back-to-back prelims exams of IBPS PO and RRB PO. However, RRB is one of those which became the destiny of my journey.
Q3. What is your preparation strategy for Quantitative Aptitude?
Ans: Just clear the basic concepts of each chapter and then practice a lot. Believe me, practice is the key. And don’t skip arithmetic completely. There are many chapters of arithmetic which are easily doable than DI.
If you are preparing for IBPS RRB PO or any banking exam, focus on building strong basics and take regular mock tests to analyze your performance and improve steadily.
Q4. How did Oliveboard help you in your preparation?
Ans: In my full preparation journey, Oliveboard helped me a lot. Special thanks to Sanjay Sir and Sheetal Ma’am for their contribution. Last but not the least, Oliveboard’s mock tests are at par with the real exam level.
Q5. What is your advice to aspirants?
Ans: Prepare well and be consistent. Don’t skip a single day; it will cost your efficiency. All is well.
Q6. How did you prepare for Reasoning?
Ans: In this subject, I completely depended on Sanjay Sir. Just blindly follow him, that’s it. He knows very well how to solve reasoning fast while taking 2+1 possibility.
Q7. How did you improve your English section?
Ans: In this section, I will say reading is the best thing you can do and mock tests also. You can take multiple sectional mocks of English from Oliveboard and point out your mistakes and work on them. It is a gradual process; don’t chase overnight success in English.
Q8. How did you prepare for General Awareness?
Ans: Just like Reasoning, I will say blindly follow Sheetal Ma’am. Her teaching style is awesome. Every trick and tip by her is amazing. Follow news editorials and try to make notes in your own way.
Q9. How did you prepare for the interview?
Ans: For the interview, I solely followed mock interview videos of Oliveboard. In this phase, you have to keep your confidence high. Don’t panic, just be in that moment.
