The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board holds a state-level examination to employ qualified applicants for teaching positions in government schools at the primary and secondary levels. It is an offline examination conducted every year. A total of 1894 vacancies consisting of 390 vacancies of principal and 1504 vacancies of UP assistant teacher have to be filled. The exam is conducted single stage for Assistant Teacher and in two stages, each consisting of a single paper for the post of Principal. UP Super TET Exam Pattern For Assistant Teacher 

  • It is mandatory to attend an examination consisting of 150 marks.
  • The paper contains 150 questions.
  • It is an Objective Type examination.
  • The exam duration is 2:30 hours.
  • The exam has two sections in which the first section is compulsory for all and the second section is the Main Subject.
  • First Section consists of questions related to General Knowledge, Reasoning and Current Affairs.
  • Second Section consists of questions related to Language, Mathematics, Social Studies & Science.
  • Candidates have the option to choose one subject from the Second Section.
  • In the Language Section, candidates have to choose any language, i.e., Hindi, English, or Sanskrit.
  • The level of Examination will be Graduation based.

Eligibility Criteria For Assistant Teacher 

The candidate must qualify at least one of the following criteria:

  • Secondary school and a two-year elementary education diploma (by whatever name known).
  • Bachelor’s degree in education and graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (B.Ed).
  • D.El.Ed/BTC from the University of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.) – 4-year program (B.El.Ed).
  • 4 Year BA.Ed /B.Sc. Ed or BA/B.Sc. Ed.
  • Graduation with at least a 50% grade point average and a one-year B.Ed (Special Education) and TET Qualified Paper 2 (Classes 6-8).

UP Super TET Exam Pattern for the Principal Post

  • Candidates must take the exam, which carries 200 points, with Paper 1 carrying 150 points and Paper 2 carrying 50 points.
  • The exam has 200 questions, comprising 150 questions on Paper 1 and 50 questions on Paper 2.
  • The examination is of the Objective Type.
  • The exam will last 1 hour and 50 minutes for Paper 1 and 1 hour and 50 minutes for Paper 2.
  • The examination is at the graduation level.
  • Only the Principal will be assigned to the Educational Management and Administration Section.
  • For the Principal Post exam, the paper will be based on Education Department related Acts, Recommendation, Rules, government order education policy, Order, Commission/Committee, scheme,  etc.

The candidate must qualify at least one of the following criteria:

  • Secondary school and a 2-year elementary education diploma (by whatever name known).
  • Bachelor’s degree in education and graduation (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (B.Ed).

  • Graduation with at least a 50% grade point average and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education)
  • 4 Year BA/B.Sc. Ed or BA.Ed/B.Sc. Ed.
  • Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.Ed.).
  • 4-year program (B.El.Ed) and 2nd Paper (Class 6-8) TET qualified with 5 years of teaching experience from junior high school and high basic school as recognised by the Department of Basic Education
