  • Up to a maximum of five years if the candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories
  • Up to a maximum of three years if the candidate belongs to Backward Classes (BC) 
  • Up to a maximum of 10 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to the General category 
  • Up to a maximum of 13 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to the BC category 
  • Up to a maximum of 15 years, if the applicant is Physically Challenged and belongs to SC or ST category
  • The age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen or Disabled Ex-Servicemen is the actual period of defence service rendered 3 years (or 8 years for disabled ex-servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to the maximum age of 50 years 
  • The maximum age limit is 35 years for the General category, 38 years for BCs, and 40 years for SC/ST category if the candidate is a widow, divorced woman, or a woman judicially separated from her husband and did not remarry

Note: Candidates may claim age relaxations only by presenting legitimate category certificates at the time of filling the application forms.

Nativity

Applicants for the TSCAB Staff Assistant Recruitment must be local residents of the State of Telangana. TSCAB conducts its recruiting procedure on a district-by-district basis, which means that candidates must complete the application form for the district in which they wish to apply.   2. Direct recruitment candidates are considered local in relation to the ‘Local Area’ if and only if the following conditions are met:
  1. If they have studied in an educational institution(s) in the aforementioned ‘Local Area’ for at least four consecutive academic years, ending with the academic year in which they first appeared for SSC or equivalent examination.
  2. If they have not studied in any educational institution(s) in the aforementioned ‘Local Area’ mentioned above for the entire or any part of the four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which they appeared or, as the case may be, first appeared for SSC or equivalent examination but have resided in the aforementioned ‘Local Area’ for at least four years.
  1. Candidates for direct recruitment who are not considered local candidates under sub-paragraph (1) above shall be considered local candidates in relation to the ‘Local Area’ if they have studied in an educational institution(s) in the State for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years or have resided in the ‘Local Area’ ending with the academic year in which they first appeared for SSC or equivalent examination 
  2. Any period of interruption caused by a candidate’s failure to pass any examination is discarded when calculating the number of consecutive academic years studied.
  3. When determining whether candidates for direct recruitment to any position have lived in the local area, the candidates’ real domicile, if the claim for local candidacy is based on education, their Educational Institution(s) certificates, and if it is based on residency, their certificates from a Revenue Department officer certifying that they resided in the districts of ‘Local Area’ should be produced.
