APSC Syllabus 2024

APSC Syllabus 2024: The syllabus for APSC Combined Competitive Exam is released in the APSC Notification released by the Assam Public Service Commission. The exam takes place in three steps: Prelims, Mains and Interview. The prelims syllabus contains two papers, targeting a wide range of topics related to History, Geography, Polity, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English and other subjects. Mains syllabus contains Essay and deep knowledge of General Awareness from different fields.

Interested candidates are recommended to start their preparation early before the exam. Before diving into their preparations, it’s crucial for candidates to review the detailed APSC CCE syllabus and exam pattern. This article will help them to make an effective plan to crack the exam.

As per the latest exam pattern, the optional papers have been removed now. The total marks allotted for the mains examination will be 1775 including Interview marks, instead of 2275.

APSC 2024 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Assam PSC conducts the exam of APSC Combined Competitive Exam. The syllabus and exam pattern is also defined by them. The exam process completes in three stages. There are two papers in pre exam and six papers in mains exam. Preliminary exam holds a total weightage of 400 and Mains exam holds total weightage of 1500.

Prelims Exam pattern for APSC CCE

  • The prelims exam is the first stage of the Assam PSC exam.
  • There are two papers in the pre exam.
  • Both papers carries 200 marks each and time duration of 2 hours each.
  • 0.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answers.

Mains Exam pattern for APSC 2024

Candidates who clear the preliminary exam, will be eligible to appear for the main exam. The mains exam has 6 papers in which one paper is essay, remaining is of general studies. The maximum marks for each papers are 250 and time duration for each paper is 3 hours.

APSC CCE 2024 Interview/Personality Test

Candidates who successfully clear the mains examination will move on to the next stage, which is the Interview. Those selected for the interview will receive an invitation for the process on a specified date. The marks allotted for Interview is 275.
