IB SA/MTS Online Application
Intelligence Bureau has started the online application procedure from the 28th January 2023. Candidates will be able to apply online till the 17th February 2023. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website of Home Ministry www.mha.gov.in. IB will accept the application form of only eligible candidates. For which candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria before applying online.
Note: Candidates can apply for both the posts of SA/Exe and MTS and if candidates apply for both the posts the first priority will be given to SA/Exe. In case of candidate qualifying the examination, he/she will be appointed on the post of SA/Exe and MTS will be automatically cancelled.
Application Fee
After filling the form and uploading the required documents, candidates needs to make an online payment as the registration fee. Application fee is distributed in two components i.e. Rs.50 examination fee and Rs.450 recruitment processing charges. We have mentioned below the category-wise application fee.

Eligibility Criteria

For Security Assistant
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 years
- Maximum Age Limit: 27 years
For Multi Tasking Staff
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 years
- Maximum Age Limit: 25 years
Category-wise age relaxation is provided in the upper age limit to the reserved categories. We have mentioned below the detailed category-wise age relaxation.

Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and
- Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which the candidate has applied
- Knowledge of any one of the local languages/dialects mentioned in Table ‘A’ above against each SIB.
For SA
- Candidates possessing field experience in Intelligence work will be preferred.
Language Qualification
Candidates applying for the post of SA/Exe and MTS must be fluent in writing/speaking skills of one of the local languages of the states mentioned in the official pdf.

IB SA/MTS Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the all tiers of examinations.
- Written Test in Tier I (Objective)
- Exam Tier II written (Descriptive)
- Test of Local Language (For SA Only)
- Document verification for interviews

Resolution of Tie Cases
In the case of tie in combined scores of candidates in the Tier-I & Tier-III for SA/Exe and tie in the score of candidates in Tier-I for MTS at the time of considering for final selection, such cases will be resolved by applying following criteria, one after another, till the tie is resolved:

IB SA/MTS Exam Pattern
IB SA/MTS exam will be conducted in various tiers. Tier-1 will be of objective type while Tier-2 will be of the descriptive type. We have mentioned below the exam pattern for the convenience of the candidates.

- Tier-II exam will be qualifying in nature. Candidates who have applied for the post of SA/Exe must score 20 out of 50 and MTS/GEN needs to score 16 out of 40.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the Tier-I.
