Stage 1: Online Preliminary Examination

The first stage involves an online preliminary examination, testing candidates on their proficiency in general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability, and English language. Aspirants need to secure the minimum qualifying marks to advance to the next stage.

Stage 2: Online Main Examination

Successful candidates from the preliminary examination proceed to the online main examination. This stage assesses candidates’ knowledge in quantitative aptitude and English relevant to the Assistant position. The main examination is crucial, and candidates must prepare diligently to tackle questions related to English (Both Objective & Descriptive) & Quantitative Aptitude (Objective).

Stage 3: Skill Test

Following the main examination, candidates undergo a skill test to evaluate their practical abilities. This stage aims to assess their proficiency in computer applications and office automation tools. It is imperative for aspirants to showcase their technical skills to excel in this phase. The skill test will be qualifying in nature.

ICAR IARI Assistant Selection Process 2024 – Final Selection

The final selection is based on candidates’ performance in the online main examination only. A merit list is prepared, considering the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in both Paper 1 & 2 of the mains exam. The selected individuals are then offered the Assistant position in ICAR IARI.

In Preliminary Examination, there will be negative marking of 1/3rdfor each wrong answer. The exam pattern of the ICAR IARI Assistant Preliminary Exam is as follows :

ICAR IARI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern 2024

There will be negative marking of 1/3rd for each wrong answer in Paper I of the Main Examination. The exam pattern of the ICAR IARI Assistant Mains Exam is as follows :

ICAR IARI Assistant Notification 2024 – Skill Test

The Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held, comprising of three modules: (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides.
Duration of each module will be 15 minutes. These modules will be conducted one after the other.
