Jumbling questions for RRB NTPC – Puzzle:

The puzzles in jumbling questions for RRB NTPC are the questions based on Age, Year, Floors, Days, etc. They can be asked with one or two variables based on the difficulty level.

Jumbling questions for RRB NTPC – Seating arrangement:

The seating arrangements in jumbling questions for RRB NTPC are arrangements that are linear, square, circular, etc. In this type, not more than two variables are generally asked in the exam.

Jumbling questions for RRB NTPC – Approach:

  1. In jumbling questions, the most important point is to read the information carefully.
  2. Understand the logic/type of the puzzle
  3. Always start with the point/sentence in the puzzle which has more information (data).
  4. As you keep reading, simultaneously make/draw the arrangement so that you can easily solve the puzzle.

Practice questions:

There are six flats on a floor in two rows. Out of these, three are north facing and the other three are south facing flats. The flats are to be allotted amongst A, B, C, D, E and F. B gets a north facing flat and is not next to D. D and F get diagonally opposite flats. C is next to F, and gets a south facing flat. E gets a north facing flat.

1. Apart from D and F, which other pair is diagonally opposite to each other?

a) A and B

b) A and C

c) E and D

d) E and C

2. Which of the following combination gets south facing flats?

a) A, C and F

b) C, B and D

c) E, A and F

d) D, A and B

Solution:

There are six flats on a floor in two rows. Out of these, three are north facing and the other three are south facing flats.

By reading the above sentence, we get to know that the puzzle is a linear arrangement/puzzle in two rows.

 

 

 

B gets a north facing flat and is not next to D. D and F get diagonally opposite flats. C is next to F, and gets a south facing flat.

From the above sentence, D and F have common/more data than the other variables. So, we start the arrangement with them.

 

 

 

 

Case 2 is invalid because C is next to F.

By reading the remaining sentences in the above question, we can get the entire arrangement correctly.

So, E will get a north facing flat.
