The Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET) or Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) is held to determine if candidates are capable of teaching in the state. REET Paper 1 (Level 1) Overview
The duration of the REET paper 1 is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. A total of 150 questions are asked each of which carries 1 mark, making a total of 150 marks. Multiple choice questions are asked and the exam is held in offline mode. The difficulty of the exam is of senior secondary level and there are a total of 5 subjects. Marking Scheme For REET Exam
Marking is done based on a predetermined method.
In paper- 1, for each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 1 mark. For any incorrect answer or un-attempted question, no marks are deducted.
In paper- 2, for each correct answer, the candidate is awarded 1 mark. For any incorrect answer or un-attempted question, no marks are deducted.
Because there is no negative marking in the RTET exam for wrong responses, applicants must answer as many questions as possible.
Minimum Marks Required For Qualifying In The REET Exam
The minimum qualifying marks for REET are currently being revised. The Rajasthan government recently decided to lower the minimum aggregate points for the RTET or REET exam for the forthcoming session. Given below is the minimum marks required for different category of candidates:
- General Category: non-TSP- 60 marks, TSP- 60 marks.
- ST: non-TSP- 55 marks, TSP- 36 marks.
- SC, OBC, MBC, EWS: 55 marks
- Ex-servicemen or Female candidates: 50 marks
- Specially Abled candidates: 40 marks
