The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education conducts the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) to select qualified candidates for Grade III teachers. The total number of available positions has been increased as compared to previous years. Previously, a total of 31000 vacancies were available for recruiting which has now been increased to 32000. The updated exam date has been revealed and REET 2021 will now be held on 26th September 2021. REET uses a particular exam structure every year for level I and level II. Therefore it is important for candidates to know the REET Syllabus. Level I is for primary school teachers in grades 1 to 5, while Level II is for upper primary school teachers in grades 6 to 8.

REET Exam Pattern

REET Exam has two levels. Each level is divided into two papers, Paper-I and Paper-II. Level 1 is for teachers of grades 1st – 5th and Level 2 is for teachers of grades 6th – 8th. The time allotted for the exam is 150 minutes or two and half hours for each paper. Both the papers contain 150 questions. Each paper is of 150 marks.

Topic-wise details of the syllabus have been given below:

1. CHILD DEVELOPMENT AND PEDAGOGY:

  • The idea of child development and growth, principles and dimensions of development. Factors affecting development (related to family and school) and its relationship with learning. Role of Heredity and Environment, idea and processes of learning. Factors moving learning, Learning process, Theories of learning and its implications, how young kids learn, Reflection, Argument, and Imagination, Motivation, and Learning Implications.
  • Meaning of individual differences, its Types, and Factors Affecting Individual differences, Understanding individual variations. 
  • Concept of personality and its styles, Factors behind shaping the personality and its measurement. 
  • Intelligence:- Theories, Concept, Multidimensional Intelligence, and its measurement and implication.
  • Understanding various learners:-  Mentally retarded, Backward, gifted, deprived, creative specially-abled, CWSN, getting kids to know their disabilities. 
  • Difficulties in learning.
  • Concept and methods adjustment along with the role of trainer within the adjustment. 
  • The process to learn to teach, Teachers getting to know techniques and strategies within the context of National Curriculum Framework 2005. 
  • Meaning and functions of Assessment, Learning outcomes, Construction of Achievement Test, Action Research. Measurement and its evaluation Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation. Role and Responsibilities of Teachers as given in Right to Education Act, 2009.

2. ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES:

  • Our Culture and Civilization: Fairs and festivals of Rajasthan, Dresses,  National festivals, and ornaments of Rajasthan, food-habits,  places, painting and art and craft of Rajasthan, architecture, fort; Proverb of Maharana Pratap, Mahatma Gandhi; Tourist places of Rajasthan; Great personalities of Rajasthan,
  • Public places and Institutions: Public places like hospitals, schools, post offices, railway stations, bus stands; Public property (street light, road, buses, train, public buildings, etc.);  employment policies; wastage of electricity and water; general information’s about Panchayat, parliament. and legislative assembly,

  • एक अपठित अनुभाग में से निम्नलिखित बिंदुओं पर प्रश्न :- रेखांकित शब्दों का काल, लिंग ज्ञात करना, वचन, अर्थ स्पष्ट करना। दिए गए शब्दों का लिंग, वचन और काल बदलना।
  • उपलब्धि परीक्षण का निर्माण समग्र एवं सतत् मूल्यांकन, भाषा शिक्षणमें मूल्यांकन, उपचारात्मक शिक्षण।।
  • वाक्य के प्रकार, वाक्य रचना, वाक्य के अंग, मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ, पदबंध, विराम चिन्ह।
  • भाषा शिक्षण के उपागम, भाषा की शिक्षण विधि, भाषा दक्षता का विकास।
  • भाषायी कौशलों का विकास (बोलना, पढ़ना, सुनना, लिखना) हिंदी भाषा शिक्षण में चुनौतियाँ, पाठ्य पुस्तक, बहु-माध्यम, शिक्षण अधिगम सामग्री, एवं शिक्षण के अन्य संसाधन।

8.HINDI (PAPER 2):

एक अपठित अनुभाग पर आधारित निम्नलिखित बिंदुओं पर प्रश्न :

  • शिल्पसौंदर्य

एक अपठित अनुभाग आधारित निम्नलिखित व्याकरण संबंधी प्रश्न :

  • उपसर्ग, युग्म शब्द, शब्द शुधि, प्रत्यय, संधि, वाक्यांश के लिए एक शब्द,  संज्ञा, सर्वनाम, समास, विशेषण, लिंग, क्रिया, वचन, कालI
  • वाक्य रचना, वाक्य के भेद, वाक्य के अंग, पदबंध, लोकोक्तियाँ, मुहावरे। कारक चिहन, अव्यय, विराम चिन्ह।
  • शिक्षण अधिगम सामग्री-पाठ्य पुस्तक, भाषायी कौशलों का विकास (बोलना, पढ़ना, सुनना, लिखना), बहु-माध्यम एवं शिक्षण के अन्य संसाधन।
