The Staff Selection Commission has released the details for the SSC GD Medical Test 2025 along with the SSC GD Notification 2025. The Medical Examination is an important part of the selection process for candidates applying for the SSC GD Constable position.

SSC GD Medical Test 2025

The SSC GD Medical Test 2025 will be managed by the Ministry of Home Affairs in coordination with the Central Armed Police Forces. Candidates who will clear the SSC GD CBT Exam will further appear for the SSC GD Constable medical test to ensure they meet the required physical and medical standards for the role.

What Is the SSC GD Medical Test?

The Medical Examination is the final step in the SSC GD Constable selection process. It is conducted for candidates who have cleared the Computer-Based Test, PET, and PST exams. SSC GD Medical Test 2025 – DME

The SSC GD Detailed Medical Examination (DME) is for candidates who pass the PET, PST, and CBT to ensure they meet medical standards. It follows the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). SSC GD Medical Examination

SSC GD Medical Test 2025 – RME

The Review Medical Examination (RME) is conducted for candidates declared “Unfit” during the DME.

  • Cardiac Issues: ECG/Echocardiogram for valvular defects.
  • Chest Lesions: CT Chest for conditions like Hilar lymphadenitis, calcified spots, or Koch’s infiltrations.
  • Vascular Defects: Color Doppler for varicose veins or vascular malformations.
  • Eye Conditions: Tests (e.g., slit lamp, OCT, HVF) for LASIK, glaucoma, or squint.
  • Hypertension/Tachycardia: Hospitalization, X-ray, ECG, cholesterol, lipid profile. creatinine tests to confirm the nature of the condition.
  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): TMT test for confirmation.
  • Tremors: Neurologist’s opinion to rule out thyrotoxicosis.
  • Diabetes: GGT and Glycosylated Hb tests.
  • Skeletal Deformities: X-Ray for knock knees, bow legs, etc.
  • Hearing Issues: Audiometry for deafness.
  • Dental Defects: OPG for candidates with dental points below 14.

Reasons for Rejection in SSC GD Medical Test

Candidates may be declared “Unfit” for reasons such as:

  • Ears: Deafness, perforated eardrums, chronic ear discharge.
  • Nose and Sinuses: Nasal polyps, severe DNS, or any condition obstructing breathing.
  • Dental Health: Loss of teeth affecting chewing ability or severe gum issues.
  • Physical Deformities: Flat feet, bow legs, knock knees, or any condition impairing mobility.
  • Skin Disorders: Severe acne, psoriasis, or other chronic skin conditions.
  • Internal Conditions: Cardiac issues, tuberculosis, asthma, or abdominal abnormalities like hernias.

Candidates who qualify for the SSC GD Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be shortlisted for the Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
