SSC JHT Preparation 2022: The SSC JHT Exam is the Staff Selection Commission Junior Hindi Translator recruitment exam. Like any competitive exam, SSC JHT 2022 requires good, efficient preparation tips which makes it easier to crack the exam.

SSC JHT 2022 exam is conducted through 2 papers. Paper I consists of a Computer Based Test of a total of 200 questions for 200 marks. The SSC JHT Paper II is a pen and paper, descriptive test of 200 marks. It has 4 questions – 2 for translating (Hindi to English and English to Hindi), one English essay and one Hindi essay.

    • In any subject other than Hindi or English with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/ elective subject/ medium of examination
    • In any subject other than Hindi or English with either as compulsory subjects/ either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory subject.

Diploma in Translation from Hindi to English and vice versa / Two years experience in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office including GOI Undertakings.

  • Senior Translator in Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices
    Masters from a recognised University
  • In Hindi with English as a compulsory/ elective subject / medium of examination
  • In any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/ elective subject/ medium of examination
  • In any subject other than Hindi or English with either as compulsory subjects/ either of the two as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory subject.

Diploma in Translation from Hindi to English and vice versa / Three years experience in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office including GOI Undertakings.

  • Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI)
    • Bachelor’s in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level as a compulsory/ elective from a recognized University/ Institute + Masters in any subject from a recognized University/Institute + Bachelor of Education from any recognized University/ Institute.
    • Bachelors in any subject from a recognized University/ Institute + Masters in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level as a compulsory/ elective from a recognized University/ Institute + Bachelor of Education from any recognized University/ Institute.
    • Having two years of experience teaching Hindi at the Senior Secondary Level under Central/ State Governments or recognized educational institutes is a bonus.

Study the syllabus and pattern

Paper I is the Computer Based Test and does not involve any descriptive writing. It depends on speed and accuracy.
