TNPSC Group 4 Documents

The candidates appearing for the TNPSC Group 4 exam must ensure that they produce all the required documents during the document verification process. The TNPSC Group 4 document list includes the print out of online application, proof of age and nationality certificates, caste certificates for reserved categories, educational qualification certificates and mark sheets, technical qualification certificates if applicable, physical disability certificate for PwD candidates, driving license and experience certificate for certain posts, and any other relevant documents mentioned in the official notification.

The candidates must ensure that the details provided in the online application match with the original documents. Any discrepancy will lead to rejection of the candidature.

Documents Required for TNPSC group 4

Applicants for the TNPSC Group 4 examination must submit all required documents during the verification process. All the documents should be in original format and as said by the officials. Any mismatches will lead to disqualification.

Certificate for Age

  • Candidates asking for age concession must provide supporting documents.
  • Date of birth will be checked against 10th or 12th standard mark sheet from Tamil Nadu education boards.
  • If date of birth is not on 10th/12th mark sheet, candidates must provide birth certificate, transfer certificate, or degree mark sheets.
  • No other documents will be accepted for date of birth proof.

Certificate for Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must provide their SSLC, HSC, Diploma, Degree, PG Degree, Provisional Degree/Diploma, or Consolidated Mark Sheet as proof of education.
  • If Diploma/Degree was issued after notification date, provide provisional certificate or consolidated marks as proof before notification date.
  • If cleared SSLC/HSC in multiple attempts, provide all mark sheets.
  • If claiming qualification higher than required, provide certificates issued before notification date.
  • If Degree certificate not available, provide extract from Convocation Register.
  • Candidates should provide details and government order proof of qualification equivalence if they possess equivalent educational qualification other than what is mentioned on the TNPSC website, provided such government orders were issued before the notification date. Equivalence orders issued after the notification date will not be considered.

Certificate of Physical Standards

  • Candidates must obtain a certificate from a Government Medical Officer above Assistant Surgeon rank appointed to a Government Medical Institution on or after the notification date, containing the specified particulars, and produce this certificate when requested by the Commission.
  • The register number-wise list of candidates called for physical document verification will be published on the Commission’s website. The original certificates supporting the claims made in the online application will be verified for the post(s) the candidate is shortlisted for.

Certificate of Tamil Language

Candidates must produce documents demonstrating adequate knowledge of Tamil, otherwise they will be required to pass the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the Commission within two years from appointment date.

TNPSC Group 4 Documents Important Points

There are some more points to be minded before the application. Below points must be considered for TNPSC group 4.

  • Ex-servicemen with 15 years service and Indian Army Special Certificate can apply for posts requiring Graduation.
  • Must provide Typewriting/Shorthand certificates by notification date if claimed in application.
  • Forest Guard with Driving License must provide experience certificate and self-declaration. For the post of Forest Guard with Driving License, the Department of Forest will conduct a driving test with the help of experts.
  • Candidates need not send the printout of the online application or any other supporting documents to the Commission by post unless asked for specifically.
  • Candidates should upload the required documents of proof in respect of all the claims made in the application with reference to the notification as and when called for. If the required certificates are not uploaded by the candidate, within the stipulated time, his/her candidature will be rejected after due process.
  • Candidates must inform the Commission at the next immediate stage of document submission if any criminal case, disciplinary action, conviction or punishment has been imposed on them after submitting the online application. Failure to inform will lead to rejection of candidature after due process and debarment for 1 year.
  • Candidates claiming to have been demobilized from the Armed Forces (Army/Navy/Air Force) must provide either a properly authenticated extract from their Discharge Certificate (i.e. Bonafide Certificate) issued by the Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare Board in the prescribed format, or the Pension Pay Order.
