Essential Skills

There are certain essential skill required for the post of IT Asst. Managers. These are as follows:

  • Software Developers: Well versed in Programming languages like C++ or C# or.Net or Java or JavaScript or Python or SAP or ABAP on SAP HANA.
  • Network Administrator: Well-versed with Deep packet tracing, network troubleshooting and Tools such as Nmap, putty, Linux, Cisco IOS commands.
  • System Administrator: Well-versed in Server Architecture/OS/DB, Data centre operations and System Management and OS commands for Linux, PowerShell, VB script, SQL Queries.
  • Information Security officer: Ethical Hacking courses, IT Security threats and mechanisms, Hacking, Spoofing etc.

GIC Assistant Manager Nationality

The criteria for nationality is as follows- a candidate applying for above vacancies in the Corporation must be either :

  1. a citizen of India or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India , or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  6. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
