Punjab Police Constable Result- Overview, Calculation, Recruitment

Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2021 has announced the deployment of 4358 vacancies for District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre in the Police Department in its notification dated 16th July 2021. The candidates can make online applications on its recruitment portal within the prescribed time period with required documents. The Punjab Police Constable Exam Date will be shortly notified. The Punjab Police Constable Result will be declared after the exam is conducted.

Calculation of Punjab Police Constable Result:

The candidates should appear for the examination as per the date, time, and examination centre mentioned on Admit card. The admit card will be issued on the official website of recruitment. The candidates should take the printout of the admit card and carry it to the examination centre along with valid photo ID proof. The OMR based written test will be conducted on different dates, with different participants and questions. 

  • The score will be normalised by utilizing the Mean Standard Deviation method. 
  • The board will calculate the marks up to 5 decimal places. 
  • There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • Each question has 1 mark totalling 100 marks test with 100 questions.

The candidates should secure the minimum marks mentioned in the below table for the written test to be qualified for the next stage after the normalization of scores is done.

Criteria for Merit list for written test:

The merit list for District Cadre and Armed Cadre is prepared separately, after making reservations for different categories based on the marks obtained in OMR based Written Test. The candidates will be selected after their clearance of stage II. 

The written test result is the basis for the candidates to be called for stage-II that includes Document Scrutiny, Physical Measurement Test, and Physical Screening Test. 

In case the candidates score identical marks in the OMR based written test, then Recruitment Board will adopt the following standard method for inclusion of the candidates in the merit list: 

  • If marks are identical, then the candidate senior in age shall be placed at the higher position in the merit list.
  • If marks and birth date are identical, the board shall determine the candidate’s relative merit based on the percentage of marks secured in the 10 2 examinations.
  • If the candidates have identical marks in the written OMR test and 10 2 examination and the same date of birth, then the recruitment board will follow the alphabetical order of the first name in the merit list.

Procedure to check the Punjab Police Constable Result:

The Punjab Police Recruitment Board will declare the result of candidates who appeared for OMR based written test after the conclusion of exams. The candidates should stay in touch with the recruitment portal to get updates regarding the announcement of results and commencement of the other stages of the selection process. 

The Recruitment Board doesn’t make the individual communication with the candidates. They will only inform the applicants about the various stages through E-mail/SMS alerts. However, the Board has refrained from taking any responsibility in case of any discrepancies in communication by E-mail/ SMS alert as it is the only additional facility and not the commitment of the Board.

Final Result Declaration:

The Physical Measurement Test requires the candidate to satisfy the physical standards decided by the Board. After the satisfaction, they will proceed for the Physical Screening Test.

The Physical Screening Test is qualifying in nature where the candidates are required to perform time-bound physical activities. These activities test their physical fitness. 

Once the candidates satisfy the second stage, their final result will be declared on both the portals, where candidates can check whether they are selected or not for the post.

The candidates should fill in 15 district preferences for their allocation after the final selection stage.

Are candidates required to download the mark sheet of the Punjab Police Constable Result?
