REET Cutoff
The REET or RTET cutoff for 2021 is the minimum marks that a candidate must score to qualifying the Grade 3 Teacher Recruitment Rajasthan REET 2021. The cutoff marks are released on the official website by BSER Ajmer. It is expected that the official result for REET will be released in the month of November 2021 for both levels.
There are separate examinations held for Level I and Level II and each is for150 marks. The cutoff for both of the levels is calculated based on that specific examination. So, the cutoff for both of the levels will be generally different. The minimum required marks are 60% or 90 marks.
Minimum Marks And Cutoff Marks
The minimum marks and cutoff marks are not the same. While minimum marks are those which are required to pass the examination, cutoff marks are those marks that a candidate must score equal to or more than to qualify for the examination and become eligible for the next level in the recruitment process.
Factors Affecting The REET Cut Off
Each year, the cutoff marks will vary. There are several factors that affect the cutoff marks and as these factors do not remain the same from one year to the next, the cutoff marks also change. The factors that affect the cutoff mark are:
- Number of Vacancies
The number of vacancies that have been advertised will play a key role in fixing the cut-off mark. In case the number of vacancies to be filled is high, the cutoff marks would be lower. When there are few vacancies to be filled the cutoff marks will be higher due to the increase in the competition for those few vacancies.
- Number of Candidates Appearing for the Examination
The more candidates appear for the Examination, the higher will be the competition and the higher will be the cutoff. The fewer the number of candidates appearing for the Examination, the lower will be the level of competition leading to a low cutoff.
- Difficulty Level of the Examination
The level of difficulty of the examination and the cutoff mark is inversely proportional. So, if the question paper is easy, the cutoff will be higher and if the question paper is difficult, the cutoff will be lower.
- The performance of candidates
The cutoff marks will be higher if the average performance of the candidates is higher. If the average performance of the candidates is low, then the cutoff will also fall and become lower.
- Total Number of Stages in the Selection Process
The more stages there are in the process of selection for that specific recruitment, the lower will be the cutoff, and the fewer the number of stages in the selection process the higher will be the cutoff. So, if the selection process has just a single Examination, the cut-off will be higher than if the process has 2 stages of Examinations. This is because there are more opportunities for sifting out candidates if there are more stages in the process.
Expected REET Cutoff
Here is an estimate of what is the expected cutoff for REET 2021. The candidates who have appeared for the examination can get an idea of where they stand by checking what marks they expect and what is the expected cutoff. The expected cutoff has been calculated based on how many candidates appeared for the examination and what was the cutoff for the previous Examination for REET. It is important to note that the cutoff is different for each category of candidates appearing for the Examination.
The following table provides the expected cutoff for the various categories. Please note that this is not the official cutoff but an expected cutoff calculated based on several factors.

Conclusion
The cutoff marks for any examination are released after the examination has been conducted, so it is not possible to know the REET Cutoff marks before sitting for the examination. But the cutoff mark of the previous years for the Examination can provide a good idea of what to expect as the cutoff mark for the current year. The Merit list for REET is based strictly on the cutoff mark, which is in turn, based strictly on the Govt Rules, Reservation, and Number of Vacancies in each subject. n the current year, the weightage given to the candidate’s degree and the weightage given to the marks scored by the candidate in the REET examination have been modified. There is a 10% weightage for the candidate’s degree and a 90 weightage for the score in the Examination.
