SSC MTS Full Form in English

The SSC MTS full form is Staff Selection Commission Multitasking Staff. It is a national-level exam for recruiting candidates for various non-technical posts in various ministries, departments, and offices of the Govt. of India.

SSC MTS Exam is being organized by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruiting eligible candidates in various non-technical posts such as:

Important points for SSC MTS Paper 1 Exam Pattern:

  1. The time duration for paper 1 is 90 minutes.
  2. The time duration for visually handicapped candidates is 120 minutes.
  3. Paper 1 consists of 100 questions carrying 1 mark each.
  4. There is a negative marking of 0.25 or 1/4th mark deducted for every wrong answer.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern – Paper-II (Descriptive)

Paper 2 will be a descriptive test in which the candidate has to write a short essay or letter in English or any other language mentioned under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

Important points for SSC MTS Paper 2 Exam Pattern:

  1. The Paper 2 exam is descriptive in nature and will be of pen and paper exam.
  2. The duration of the exam for general candidates is 45 minutes.
  3. The duration of the exam for visually handicapped students is 60 minutes.
  4. Candidates who qualify for paper 1 will be eligible to appear for paper 2.
  5. Candidates must write a short essay and a letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the constitution.

SSC MTS 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SSC MTS 2022 is based on the following factors:

Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

  1. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
  2. 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS
  3. 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for few posts of MTS.

Paper – II Syllabus
