Success Story of Ashwathi Chandrasekharan – Cleared Canara Bank PO (AIR 676)

Read Success Story of Ashwathi Chandrasekharan , who had to stop her preparation for one year due to her surgery and other health issues. But she did not let her health issues work as an obstacle in her path and went on to clear Canara Bank PO(AIR 676).

Here is her inspiring story:

Hello everyone, I am Ashwathi Chandrasekharan from Kerala. I am a B.tech  electronics and communication graduate (2016 passout). I started preparing for bank exams from August 2016.

I had written IBPS and RRB exams since 2016 but could not clear even the prelims. I had to stop my preparation from 2017 March till the year end due to a surgery. So whatever speed and accuracy I had gained, all went useless as I lost my touch.

It is after my painful recovery I started my preparation again in full swing. From 2018, I started clearing the prelims but failed in mains. I cleared SBI clerk, IBPS PO, IBPS CLERK prelims but could not clear their mains. I was not sure about the prelims of IBPS PO, so, to be frank did not prepare for mains as I had no hope and was demotivated. Fortunately, I cleared prelims but was perplexed about the mains preparation.

I had only 14 days with me for PO mains. Then I was going through youtube videos regarding last minute mains preparation. I saw Oliveboard Youtube channel and meticulously followed the video which showed how to prepare for PO mains within 14 days or so.

All I had practiced was the strategies told in that particular video. I practiced Oliveboard PO mains mock tests. I had even attempted descriptive paper. Oliveboard descriptive answers for each question guided me and corrected the mistakes I made in descriptive too. The confidence I gained from the high level quality questions of Oliveboard was enough for me to attempt my mains exam.

Finally my dream came true on 1st  April 2019. I am a Canara Bank PO now with  All India Rank 676. I haven’t cracked any other exam, even though I wrote mains of Oriental Insurance AO, SBI CLERK and IBPS CLERK.

My Strategy:

My English section is strong .I am average in reasoning so I had practiced more of reasoning puzzles and critical reasoning. I was poor in Maths, so  I practiced only basic questions and few topics. I concentrated more on reasoning and english.

I did 1 mock paper and analysed it thoroughly, which is very important. If you don’t get your strengths and weaknesses and where you stand, it will be tough to crack exams.Analyse your mistakes and study the topic thoroughly. For GA and GK I read The Hindu & referred Oliveboard GK BOLT.

Lastly, I would  recommend Oliveboard mock test papers due to its updated standard similar to exam mode.

Tips to Aspirants:

I know my story is long, but one thing I can tell you. If I had stopped my preparation due to health problems and surgery, or stayed lazy after the surgery I could not have cleared any of these exams. There were days when I had to bear my pain and still work hard for my exam because for about 6 months I was not able to sit on a chair.

Whatever your situation is, if you really believe in your inner strength, go for it.

You will achieve your dreams.
