Introduction:

My name is Sayantani Chatterjee. I am from West Bengal. I completed my Btech in ECE in the year 2020.Then I worked for an IT MNC for 1 year and this year I have cleared both RRB PO and Clerk .

Sayantani Chatterjee Preparation Journey:

I started my banking preparation journey from November 2021.Before that I was working in an IT company but my aim was to become an Govt employee. Then after resigning from my job I fully started focusing on my preparation phase.

Subject-Wise Preparation Strategy:

This year I have given all my mains and what I observed is that the quant pattern is quite changing… Examiners are making quant tough both in pre and mains… They are making the questions tricky… Putting more variable based arithmetic problems.. So my suggestion is the basics would be strong otherwise there will be problems. First I had cleared the basics of all chapters. For pre I had practised a lot from mocks because speed is the most important factor in pre and for mains also new types of question practice is the only solution. This is my overall quant strategy.

Reasoning- For reasoning at first I covered all the misc topics from YouTube. Then comes the puzzle part. Puzzle plays an important part in banking preparation. One needs to make a command on a puzzle… Because in pre 20-23 questions come only from the puzzle itself. For this I followed a youtube class… That helped me.Then practice from mock is the only solution. For mains again practice from mock.

English- English in banking is mostly based on comprehensive type. For this Reading, comprehension skills are necessary and this comes from more practice… More you practise… More the ability to comprehend the passage will come. For this I don’t think anyone needs to give special focus on grammar and vocab. I didn’t give special focus to these two. What I did was practice.

GK/GA- For Ga one needs to follow at least 3-4 months ca before the date of mains.

Interview- Interview has no limit…What I felt. For the interview I prepared a lot like banking, rrb related questions, agriculture related and other whatever questions they might ask as suggested by channels… But my rrb officer interview went to another level… They didn’t ask anything related to this…. The complete interview was situation based… And my interview was average. So you have to be ready in all aspects.

Role of Oliveboard:

I mainly followed Oliveboard’s mock test and it really helped me in my preparation journey.

Tips for other aspirants:

As the competition is getting harder day by day at first I was really scared.. But I have faith in myself… My parents always kept motivating me throughout my journey… During my 1.3 yr preparation journey I have also faced certain failures… Because it is obvious… But one should have that hope till the last day.. So my message for all the aspirants will be there is no alternative to hard work.. If I can you also can. All the best.
