UP NHM CHO Educational Qualification

Applicants for UP NHM’s Community Health Officer position should have completed B.Sc. (Nursing) with a Certificate in Community Health. Registration in UP Nurses & Midwives Council is required. Additional details provided below.

(Nursing) course with an integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN) from a recognized Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council Institute or University. Eligibility is applicable for academic year 2020 onwards, specifically for those who underwent the 4th year B.Sc. Nursing and 2nd year Post B.Sc. Nursing in 2019-20 or later, passing the course successfully.
Registration RequirementCandidates must be registered in UP Nurses & Midwives Council. However, those with registration in other State’s Nursing Council as Nurse and Midwife are also eligible, subject to submitting the UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration certificate within 90 days of provisional joining at the District. Candidates without UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration but with registration in another State’s Nursing Council must submit a Rs. 100/- affidavit on Non-Judicial stamp paper both at the time of DVP and joining, pledging to submit the UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration within 90 days of joining.

Provisional Joining and Continuation:

Candidates without UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration but having other State’s Nursing Council registration will join provisionally. After submitting the UP Nurses & Midwives Council registration certificate to the concerned DHS, their joining will be confirmed as CHO from the day of provisional joining. Failure to provide the registration certificate within 90 days of provisional joining will lead to cancellation of candidature. A service termination notice will be issued, and the candidate must deposit the full amount of the surety bond (Rs. 2.50 Lakh) to DHS.

UP NHM Community Health Officers Selection Process 2024

The UP NHM CHO Recruitment 2024 involves the following steps:

  • Availing COVID Experience Certificate:
  • Candidates with a QR-based COVID experience Certificate from previous NHM, UP advertisements need not reapply. Upload the existing QR certificate during online application submission.
  • Candidates without a QR-based COVID experience Certificate should apply at least 7 days before the online application deadline at the Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) office of the concerned District. Obtain the certificate on time, as NHM, UP is not responsible for delays.
  • Certificate Details:
  • QR-based COVID experience certificates on the prescribed proforma (provided below) will be considered valid.
  • Obtaining the certificate through wrongful means will lead to candidature cancellation.
  • Candidates registered on the Attendance Management System App of NHM, UP, during the Covid-19 period by March 31, 2022, or under State Disaster Response Fund/others, will have COVID experience counted till March 31, 2022.

UP NHM CHO Document Verification Process

Candidates chosen for the Document Verification Process (DVP) will receive specific details, including the date, time, and venue, through their registered email/Mobile Number. It’s crucial to note that requests for changing the DVP date won’t be accommodated.

  • Notification of DVP details sent via email/Mobile.
  • No flexibility for changing the DVP date.
  • Candidates invited in a 1:10 ratio to the total vacancies.
  • During the DVP, candidates must present original documents along with photocopies.
  • Failure to produce the required documents at the time of DVP will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s candidature.

UP NHM CHO Salary

Upon successful selection, Community Health Officers (CHOs) will be appointed on a contractual basis at sub-center level Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs). They will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs. 20,500 and a Performance-Based Incentive (PBI) of up to Rs. 15,000.
