History of International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression

The subsequent 4-month war led to a August 19, 1982 emergency UN General Assembly meeting, where growing casualties, especially among innocent Palestinian and Lebanese children, spurred the later adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989.
