Inspiring Success Story of Pranav Kumar

I belong to the Darbhanga district of Bihar. I have completed my B.tech in computer science from the lovely professional university, Punjab in 2020. My father is a farmer and my mother was a teacher. I have completed my early education in the nearby town of my village.

As I completed my b.tech, I started preparing for SBI PO. At that time I was not thinking about RRB PO and all. My only focus was on SBI PO. So I searched for all the syllabus and exam patterns of various exams and my plan was to start my preparation by taking tests from the first day because the test only tells what you know and what you don’t. I have searched for the best test-taking platform and I analyzed many and I found Oliveboard is the best as it makes you stronger than required in the actual exam.

So I took the test and got around 30 marks only in the first test but I was confident because I know if I will improve certain things then I can make it. And gradually I started practicing and the Oliveboard analysis in the test gives me the idea where I am taking more time, which is my weak point and I used to work on that thing and finally I made it.

Subject-Wise Strategy of Pranav Kumar

Quant: For quant, I need not to study from the basics since this was my strong subject from school days only. I only practiced the previous year’s questions and Oliveboard sectional tests. And I followed quantum cat by Arun Sharma’s book.

Reasoning:- For reasoning, I started from the basics and covered all the topics one by one. First miscellaneous and puzzles I watched youtube videos from different sources. And again for practice, I went through the previous year’s question and Oliveboard test series.

English:- For English, I have read the newspaper most of the time. I will not say daily. But the reading and comprehension ability makes you better for the exam as the grammar portion is less. To remember the vocabs I followed, Norman lewis – word power made easy.

General Awareness:- For GA mains, I watched top questions of 3 months or 6 months or so like from Oliveboard, and for static also I watched one static banking series of Oliveboard that has 7 video series and it covered all the static portions relevant to the exam.

How Oliveboard Helped Pranav Kumar?

Oliveboard helped me a lot in preparation in many ways like practicing questions. It helped to improve my marks by providing the best analysis of the test I have taken. Its youtube channel helped me a lot to prepare for GA both static as well as current affairs.

I will say only to be confident and work hard. You will definitely achieve what you want. Another important thing is to start preparing for the mains from the beginning. Don’t waste your time or don’t wait for the notification to come. The only thing you have to do is first clear the basics if you have problems and then start taking the test and analyze the weak point and improve it. Do it recursively until you don’t get 85-90 percentile in the Oliveboard test series (it might be different for different platforms).
