Mizoram PSC Selection Process

The Mizoram PSC combined competitive exam’s selection process involves multiple stages. The selection process starts with a preliminary exam consisting of objective-type questions that test general knowledge, aptitude, and reasoning abilities. Candidates who qualify in the prelims proceed to the main exam, which features descriptive questions assessing in-depth knowledge of concerned subjects. Following the main exam, there is an interview round in which candidates are evaluated for their communication skills, subject knowledge, confidence, and personality. Finally, MPSC prepares and releases the merit list of selected candidates based on their combined scores in the main exam and interview. The prelims exam’s score is not considered for merit as this stage is only qualifying stage.

Mizoram PSC Selection Process: Prelims

The first stage i.e. prelims exam of the Mizoram Civil Service exam consists two papers; General studies and Aptitude Test. Paper I, General Studies consists questions from Geography, Indian polity and governance, Economic and social development and other topics mentioned in the Mizoram PSC Prelims Syllabus.

• The MPSC Prelims Exam is the first stage of the Mizoram PSC recruitment process.
• Mizoram MPSC Prelims is only qualifying in nature hence the marks scored in this exam will not be considered for the final result.
• There are two papers in prelims exam, Paper I General Studies and paper II of Aptitude Test.
• The prelims exam is conducted into offline mode (OMR sheet based).

• Each paper of MPSC prelims exam is conducted for 200 marks.

Mizoram PSC Selection Process: Mains

After qualifying the cut-off criteria of the Mizoram PSC Prelims exam, candidates are allowed for the mains exam of the Mizoram PSC combined civil service exam. Mains exam consists eight papers in which two papers are based on the respective language, one optional subject of two papers and remaining four papers are based on General Studies. Candidates need deep knowledge of the General studies for attempting the Mains exam.

Aspirants who successfully clear the first and second stage of the Mizoram PSC common competitive recruitment process, they are invited for the final round i.e. Interview or Personality test of candidates.
