**How to calculate UPSC IAS Prelims Marks?**

To calculate the Prelims Marks 2021, refer to the UPSC CSE 2021 answer key mentioned here. How to calculate UPSC Prelims Marks for Paper 1?

- There are 100 Questions in the UPSC IAS Prelims 2020 GS-Paper which carry 200 marks.
- Each question carries two marks.
- For each incorrect answer, 0.66 marks will be deducted.
- Total marks obtained by the Aspirant = Number of correct answers X 2 – Number of incorrect answers X 0.33

**How to calculate UPSC Prelims Marks for CSAT?**

- There are 80 Questions in the UPSC IAS Prelims 2020 CSAT Paper II which carry 200 marks.
- Each question carries 2.5 marks.
- For each incorrect answer, 0.825 marks will be deducted.
- Total marks obtained by the Aspirant = Number of correct answers X 2.5 – Number of incorrect answers X 0.825
- Only 33% of marks required to qualify Paper-2.

In Prelims Paper 2 (CSAT), only a minimum of 33% marks is required in order to qualify for the exam. When determining the cutoff mark for the Prelims examination, Paper 1 (General Studies) marks are taken into consideration.
