NICL AO Exam Pattern For Hindi Officer 2024
For Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers, the selection process involves a single-phase examination. The exam comprises a total of 204 questions, with a maximum score of 250 marks. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. Candidates are tested on various aspects within this time frame to assess their suitability for the role.
- Eligibility Criteria for Shortlisting:
- Each candidate must obtain a minimum score for each section separately to be eligible for shortlisting for the interview.
- Additionally, candidates must obtain a minimum total score, decided by the Company based on the number of vacancies, in the Written Examination for shortlisting for the interview.
- Penalty for Wrong Answers (Objective Tests):
- Applicable to all objective tests except for “English Language.”
- Tests are bilingual (English and Hindi).
- All objective questions have alternative choices, and candidates select the correct answer by “mouse click.”
- Penalty for wrong answers: One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted.
- If a question is left blank (no answer marked), there is no penalty.
- The clicked alternative/option is treated as the answered choice for that question.

- The Company reserves the right to modify the examination structure.
