Ameliorative	Make something bad or unsatisfactory better; Improve, make better, Better, make improvements to, Enhance	Worsen, Leave alone	Foreign aid is badly needed to ameliorate the effects of the drought.
Apprehension	Anxiety or fear that something bad or unpleasant will happen; Angst, Alarm, Worry, Uneasiness, Unease	Confidence	It’s normal to feel a little apprehension before starting a new job.
Bolster	Support or strengthen; Reinforce, make stronger, Boost, Fortify	Undermine	She tried to bolster my confidence/morale by telling me that I had a special talent.
Master of the Roster	It refers to the privilege of the Chief Justice to constitute Benches to hear cases		Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India is referred to as the master of the roster.
Per Incuriam	Without due reference to other laws, judgments, or facts that may have been relevant		The High Court once even refused to follow a decision of the Court of Appeal on the grounds that the decision had been reached per incuriam.
Predisposition	A liability or tendency to suffer from a particular condition, hold a particular attitude, or act in a particular way; Susceptibility, Proneness, Tendency, Liability, Inclination	Antipathy, Disinclination, Dislike	She has an annoying predisposition to find fault.
Recuse	Challenge a judge, prosecutor, or juror as unqualified to perform legal duties because of a potential conflict of interest or lack of impartiality; To disqualify oneself as a judge in a particular case		The judge had to recuse herself from the case when the defendant turned out to be her cousin
Salubrious	Health-giving; Healthy	Unhealthy	He doesn’t live in a very salubrious part of town.
Vehement	Showing strong feeling; forceful, passionate, or intense; Forceful, Ardent, Impassioned, Heated, Spirited, Urgent	Mild, Apathetic	Despite vehement opposition from his family, he quit school and became an actor.
