The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) is a department of the government of Tamil Nadu that is responsible for governing the recruitment of personnel into the state's public service. It is the successor of the Madras Service Commission, which came into being under an Act of the Madras Legislature in 1929 and was the first Provincial Public Service Commission in India. It adopted its current name in 1970. TNPSC operates under Articles 315 to 323 of Part XIV of the Constitution of India.

TNPSC conducts the TNPSC Group IV exam every year to recruit eligible candidates for Group 4 positions. TNPSC Group IV Exams are conducted in an offline mode, followed by document verification. In the following services, candidates are assigned the department or post based on the merit list:

TNPSC Group 4 2022 Eligibility Criteria

TNPSC Group 4 application form is available in two sections on the TNPSC official website: one-time registration and Gr-4 application.

1. A scanned copy of your signature in JPG format (1 kb, size 12 kb).

Selection Process For TNPSC Group 4

There are two steps to the TNPSC Group 4 2022 selection process. In general, the Group4 test falls under one of the TNPSC's direct recruiting posts.

The TNPSC Group 4 paper is three hours long and consists of 300 questions. TNPSC Group 4 is a sort of objective paper. For all categories, a minimum qualifying score of 90 is required. For the 100 questions of the language test, candidates can choose between Tamil and English. General Studies questions will be available in both English and Tamil.

Candidates who have completed the TNPSC Group 4 application form will receive an admission card/hall ticket. A few days before the exam, the Commission makes the Admit Card available on their website. Candidates must bring their admission cards to the exam centers in order to take the exam; otherwise, they will be denied entry. Only those applicants who qualified for the previous exam stage will receive an admit card for the subsequent exams.
