CTET 2019 Syllabus Paper 1

CBSE had released the CTET 2019 notification. The Board conducts CTET exam twice in a year; July & December. The CTET 2019 December exam is scheduled to be held on 8th December 2019. The exam is conducted at two levels – Paper 1 (for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V) and Paper 2 (for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII). To excel in any exam, it is crucial to know the syllabus first and strictly follow it throughout the prep journey. Once you are aware of the Syllabus, make sure no topic is left untouched! Reading unseen passages – two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative or discursive)

  • Role of listening and speaking; function of language and how children use it as a tool
  • Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
