Ministry of Commerce & Industry is developing a National Logistics Portal to ensure ease of trading in the international & domestic markets. It will link all the stakeholders of EXIM, domestic trade and movement and all trade activities.

SBI expects Q1 GDP growth at 7.7% over boost in bank credit, auto sale

According to SBI report, the country's GDP is expected to grow by 7.7 % in the April-June (Q1 FY19) on the back of pick up in leading indicators like cement production, sale of vehicles and bank credit. It is based on Composite Leading Indicator (CLI).

INS Vikramaditya to have marine hydraulic systems

INS Vikramaditya is going to be fitted with marine hydraulic system for the 1st time as part of its upgrade that will give an edge to the air-capable wing of the ship.The systems will be fitted by Russia's Rostec State Corporation starting Oct. this year.

At 15, Shardul Vihan wins silver in men’s double trap

Shardul Vihan,15 became the youngest Indian shooter to win a medal at the Asian Games after he finished second in the men’s double trap. He shot 73 in the final after topping the qualification.He also won a medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in Germany.

India, China to expand military cooperation

India & China are set to draft a fresh memorandum of understanding (MoU) on defence cooperation & further expand the engagements between their armed forces. Additional measures for peace along the 3,488-km Line of Actual Control (LAC) was also discussed.

Panel for rollout of 5G services by 2020

A panel set up by the DoT to prepare a roadmap for rollout of 5G telephony in India expects the service to be operational by 2020.The nine-member Steering Committee, headed by AJ Paulraj, recommended releasing additional spectrum for 5G services.
